Horsham Piazza Italia 10 Good Friday 25th March 2016
On Good Friday, 25th March 2016, Motori Di Marino once again hosted the start point for the Horsham Piazza Italia Rally. Now in its 10th year, and the ninth year motorcycles have been included, the Horsham Piazza Italia is a celebration of all things Italian – food, fashion, cars and, most importantly in our opinion, motorcycles, contemporary and classic.
The day started with the motorcycle participants descending on Motori Di Marino to complete their registration for the event and enjoy a chat with others over a coffee and a piece of home-made cake.
Just after 10am the departure commenced, ably marshaled by Fred with his ‘big red hand’, to enjoy a ride around the district. This year the route took riders to the west going via Pulborough, Fittleworth, Petworth, Wisborough Green and Billingshurst before regrouping at the Hop Oast Park & Ride just south of Horsham.
From there they paraded into Horsham and through the town centre before parking up on display around the Shelley Fountain.
The weather was glorious and £245.34 was raised from the refreshments for the Worthing Hospital League of Friends to put towards an Interactive Radiology Scanner.
Below are a few photos of the day. Thank you to Stuart Tofts of West Chiltington for permission to post his aerial photograph of the event at Motori Di Marino.
If you recognise yourself or your bike in any of the photos and would like a copy, just drop us an email and I’ll be happy to send the pictures. Denise.
